Korean Beef Bowl
Try this next time you can’t think of what to have for dinner.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound ground beef
- 7 garlic cloves chopped
- 1 zucchini
- 6 green onions chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper fresh chopped fine
- 3 thai peppers fresh chopped fine
- 1/2 red onion chopped
- 2 cups basmati rice
- Sesame seeds
SAUCE
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large skillet or wok cook the ground beef. Transfer meat out and strain any extra grease.
- Add one tablespoon oil, garlic, red onion and all spicy peppers to frying pan and sauté for a few minutes, add zucchini and fry for another 2 minutes stirring frequently.
- In a small bowl whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes and pepper.
- Return fried ground beef to pan.
- Pour prepared sauce over ground beef and veggies and mix well. Let simmer for another minute or two.
- Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
