INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 7 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 zucchini
  • 6 green onions chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper fresh chopped fine
  • 3 thai peppers fresh chopped fine
  • 1/2 red onion chopped
  • 2 cups  basmati rice
  • Sesame seeds

SAUCE

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large skillet or wok cook the ground beef. Transfer meat out and strain any extra grease.
  2. Add  one tablespoon oil, garlic, red onion and all spicy peppers to frying pan and sauté for a few minutes, add  zucchini and fry for another 2 minutes stirring frequently.
  3. In a small bowl whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes and pepper.
  4. Return fried ground beef to pan.
  5. Pour prepared sauce over ground beef and veggies and mix well. Let simmer for another minute or two.
  6. Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
