Classical Goulash
Classical Goulash
2 lbs Ground beef
2 Large yellow onions
7 Garlic cloves
3 cups Water
2 cans Tomato sauce
2 cans diced tomatoes or 3 fresh tomatoes diced
1 Spicy pepper chopped fine
3 tbls Soy sauce
2 tbls Italian seasoning
1 tbls Seasoned salt
2 cups Elbow pasta
2-3 Bay leaves
Cook beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink, skim off excess fat. Stir in onions, garlic and spicy pepper. Cook until onions are translucent, about 10 min.
Stir in water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, bay leaves and seasoned salt. Bring your mixture to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 25 min. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat, discard bay leaves and serve.
Have your elbow pasta cooked and put to side.
